Tune your 2024-2025 Silverado/Sierra 2500/3500 with the 6.6L L5P Duramax (E42 ECM) now using HP Tuners’ VCM Suite! This service is required to upgrade the E42 ECM in these diesel trucks for tuning using an MPVI3 or MPVI4 device and VCM Suite.
Note: Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.
ECMs with broken “LOCKING” tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for upgrades.

Custom Tuning Now Available for Latest Gen L5P Duramax (E42 ECM)
HP Tuners is proud to offer the industry’s first custom tuning and diagnostics solution for the latest generation L5P Duramax platform, supporting the following models:
- 2024-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 6.6L L5P Duramax (Diesel)
- 2024-2026 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L L5P Duramax (Diesel)
- 2024-2026 GMC Sierra 4500/5500/6500 6.6L L5D Duramax
- 2024-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 4500/5500/6500 6.6L L5D Duramax
IMPORTANT NOTE: This service is only for 2024-2025 models (the latest generation L5P) with the E42 ECM.
In order to start tuning, your truck requires this one-time, send-in upgrade service to upgrade the E42 ECM for custom tuning using our VCM Suite software. Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.
This means your E42 ECM must be removed from your truck and shipped to HP Tuners’ headquarters for servicing.
Everything you need to tune your GM E42 ECM (L5P) vehicle with HP Tuners:
- Purchase this upgrade service to upgrade your E42 ECM for tuning.
- Download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA for free here.
- Make sure you have an MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface
- When utilizing this service, there is a possibility that the vehicle will need to be sent to the dealers to be re synced. Purchaser accepts all liability for this activity.
- Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.
- ECMs with broken tabs will NOT be accepted for Upgrades.
- Universal credits to license your ECM once upgraded is NOT included in this service. You must purchase credits separately.
- Your upgraded E42 ECM can only be tuned via the OBDII port with an MPVI3 or MPVI4 device, the latest version of VCM Suite BETA, and an internet connection.
- The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration (you must have the stock file).
- VCM Scanner, Dealer Diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.
